ABOUT ME

I grew up in a world and time where everyone knew how to knit and sew to some extent or other, where every house had a sewing machine in the cupboard, where party dresses were often made, not bought.  I made my own dolls' dresses when I was very small and found the material by cutting pieces out of the bottom of bedsheets, thinking that the holes would not be noticed.  (I was barred from using scissors unsupervised more than once growing up.)
Sewing, knitting, crochet, textile crafts in general are my happy place and I would like to share that with you.
